Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor, investigative report and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. Additionally, she is co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys.
